CBIG is happy to announce that 2 of our members won awards at the 2014 June NJ SCBWI Conference for their illustrations in the Gallery Show. I chose these three Mother Goose Rhymes to illustrate, because they are about Robins, one of my favorite birds. These illustrations are watercolors on 300lbs Arches watercolor paper. They are all 24"x 30"framed Title: Kindness: Illustration for the Mother Goose Rhyme: The little robin grieves When the snow is on the ground,For the trees have no leaves, And no berries can be found. The Gallery Connect Children's Book Illustrators Show,  organized by Deborah Cuneo , featured the work of area illustrators. Each participating artist was allowed to show up to 3 pieces. As the gallery/café space is run by the C3 Church and shares space in the Rainbow Chimes building, a daycare/pre-school, we were asked that at least one of our child friendly art be bible related. The show is up for the month of March 2012.
