The prompt for the CBIG blog this month is green, and the prompt for Illustration Friday this week is detective. I thought that any literary detective worth his salt would wonder where green eggs came from, and if he used his sleuthing skills, he’d come up with the answer. Green eggs come from green chickens. It’s the only thing that makes sense. The chicken that lays green eggs. The next question the detective should answer, is which came first, the green chicken, or the green eggs? (I think the green chicken came first. What do you think?) p.s. The prompt for WaWe this week was The Little Red Hen. Hmm, I’m thinking that history got it wrong. It was really The Little GREEN Hen! Please visit sruble.com to learn more about my art and projects, or my blog to see more recent art.

I have the pleasure and honor of being featured in the "Spotlight" on the Hire An Illustrator portfolio website.  Since joining HAI I have found the site to be most supportive of the artists and illustrators that it represents.  Take a peek if you have time and visit the other fine illustrators that are on the site.

I have the pleasure of sharing information about the book I illustrated, Daniel and The Harmonica, written by Robert Dubreuil .   It is scheduled for release this Fall by Stemmer House Publishers.  The story will make a wonderful addition to any library, school or child's bookshelf.  Just what can happen when you are given the gift a harmonica along with a secret message?  You can see more on my website.

Comment Experiment

There have been many times in the past when I've been impressed by an image and wanted to comment right then and there but couldn't because Comments was disabled. Now, as an experiment, comments will be enabled. If we find that it works for a better blogging experience for both viewers and our CBIG blogzine members we will keep this feature turned on. -Management
